This was the coolest old barn (and sidekick) in Crawford, Colorado. I stopped to paint this after a night at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, and just before the start of North Fork Plein Air. I adore old barns like this. I think they look like old skeletons, barely held together, stubborn and refusing to crumble. A doe hung out in the pasture just left of this scene while I painted.
