During a short trip home to SLO in July, my mom and I drove out Foothill and parked at the entrance to Madonna Ranch. I painted this one in the shade of giant eucalyptus lining the driveway, looking up at a peak that I first hiked on elementary school field trips.
It’s always good to be home.
